Hendrix Drummer Dead At 61
Legendary rock drummer Mitch Mitchell was found dead, apparently of natural causes in his Portland, Oregon hotel room yesterday, November 12th. He was the last surviving member of the Jimi Hendrix Experience.

Deftones Bassist Will Recover
California rock band Deftones have confirmed that their bassist, Chi Cheng, was involved in a car accident in Santa Clara, CA that has left him in a "very serious" coma. Reports around the internet now say that Chi is in a more stable condition and is responding well to treatment.

New Beasties Album On The Way
Billboard.com reports that the Beastie Boys are halfway through recording a new album. According to an interview with Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz, the record should be out sometime next year and unlike their 2007 instrumental album, this one features lots of vocals.
